Based on a centuries-old family legend, "Haunted Barn" delves into the history of my noble ancestors in the witch-hunting region of eastern Poland. The narrative unfolds as one ancestor's dispute with a local shaman woman leads to a series of cursed events on the family farm, involving witches, animal spells, and a burning castle. In my paintings, I portray these witches, known as Baba Jaga or Szeptucha, whispering bad spells to animals and burning down castles, capturing the eerie legends within the stylistic influence of old masters.
