In this show, I aim to capture the profound solitude that envelops us in the depths of the night or just before dawn, where the inanimate transforms into entities of their own, and we find ourselves half-asleep, reflecting on the past in silence. The night, rich with nostalgia and anxiety, serves as the central theme, drawing inspiration from the romanticism of literary figures like Mickiewicz and Goethe. Within this nocturnal realm, our fears, dreams, and memories manifest as spectral late guests, including a Devil, an ethereal forest dog, a young mother with her child, and a courageous yet solitary little girl inviting interpretations with an almost "para-religious" essence, reminiscent of themes in Polish plays like "Wesele" by Wyspianski, where demons and spirits attend a country wedding as guests. Additionally, the title loosely alludes to "Dziady" by Mickiewicz, incorporating elements of the old pagan ritual of calling spirits to offer them food and prayers for assistance in the afterlife.
